Special Research Grant Awarded to MAZUST Faculty Member’s Technology Development Project

As part of the implementation of the “Sabat” (Stability) Program, the technology development project proposed by Dr. Hassan Abedini, faculty member of the Department of Chemical Engineering at University of Science and Technology of Mazandaran (MAZUST) and a former researcher at EPFL, Switzerland, has been approved by the Vice Presidency for Science and Technology of the Presidency of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The project, entitled “Development of an Advanced Adsorptive–Membrane Platform for the Separation of Carbon Dioxide and Volatile Organic Compounds from Gas Streams at Pilot Scale,” is being carried out at the Separation Processes Research Group (SPRG) in collaboration with Dr. Morteza Asghari, faculty member of the Department of Chemical Engineering.
A total of IRR 20 billion has been allocated by the Vice Presidency for Science and Technology as a Special Research Grant to support implementation of the project.
It is noteworthy that the Sabat Program is designed to support the scientific and research activities of distinguished Iranian experts and scientists who have previously studied or conducted research at leading universities worldwide and have subsequently returned to Iran.
