Three Faculty Members Ranked Among the World’s Top 2% Most-Cited Researchers

Dr. Jamshid Pirgazi, Vice President for Education and Research, announced that Dr. Alireza Zekriyazadeh (Department of Electrical Engineering), Dr. Mohammad Mehdi Sabzemeidani (Department of Chemical Engineering), and Dr. Seyed Ebrahim Ghasemi (Department of Mechanical Engineering) have been included in the 2025 list of the World’s Top 2% Most-Cited Researchers.
Dr. Pirgazi explained that the ranking is published by Elsevier based on a study conducted by researchers at Stanford University using data from the Scopus database. The list identifies the world’s top 2% most-cited scientists across all disciplines in two categories: single-year scientific impact (2024) and career-long scientific impact (1906–2024).
According to the latest report, Dr. Alireza Zekriyazadeh, Dr. Mohammad Mehdi Sabzemeidani, and Dr. Seyed Ebrahim Ghasemi have been recognized among the World’s Top 2% Most-Cited Researchers for 2025 based on their one-year citation impact. In addition, the most recent update of the ranking also places Dr. Alireza Zekriyazadeh and Dr. Seyed Ebrahim Ghasemi among the World’s Top 2% Most-Cited Researchers based on their career-long scientific impact.
